Unless you’ve been living under a rock for your entire life, I’m sure you’ve heard of The Clothes Show. Back in the days of channels 1-5, I remember lying on the floor watching this, my mum LOVED it. As a teenager, I always so badly wanted to go to Birmingham for The Clothes Show, alas it was not to be.
BUT, The Clothes Show has had a makeover, and where better place to show of the stunning new look, than the fashion capital of the UK (didn’t make that up its definitely true) Liverpool.
Now branded as British Style Collective, those in the know and running the show, struck while the iron was hot and made the most of the fabulous blogging culture here in Liverpool. On Tuesday, BSC hosted a launch exclusively for us bloggy lot, in the most insta-rific stunning Oh Me Oh My (a 1920s building no less!). BSC couldn’t have picked a better venue, with stunning views of Liverpools famous Liver Building and our Three Graces, OMOM was the perfect venue for all our fashionistas to welcome BSC to the city.
Us lovely lot were spoilt for choice with the drinks on offer, Liverpool Gin, Prosecco (obvs) and some fruity cocktails. Cant beat a Liverpool Gin with a donut on the side!
After a presentation sharing all the history of BSC, we were treated to a talk from the legendary Andrew Collinge, and his wife Liz. Hosted by non other than a marabou mule and unicorn dress wearing Antonia O’Brien (fab fashionista FYI).
Andrew Collinge will be hosting a hair-styling stall at BSC. Festival goers can book in for a styling sesh for just £10(!), with the whole tenner being redeemable on purchases on the day. If you’re wondering what trends are on this years agenda, we are talking just woke up chic, tousled waves and loose buns – lazy girls heaven. You can compliment a lazy do with Mr C’s latest creation, an invisible dry shampoo. No more talcy roots HURRAH.
There is one hell of a line up of fashion experts taking over the BSC this July. From bloggers, to designers, to stylists, to singers, to models, the list is exhaustive we’re being SPOILT ROTTEN I TELL YOU. Theres a tonne of brands on board too, the official sponsor is Alcatel, others include TiGi, Liverpool Gin, Pixi by Petra and Lambrini. Absolutely loving that BSC are supporting local and small brands too, can I get a hell yeaaaaah.
In the spirit of giving, BSC set up an *exclusive* gifting lounge full of brands who are collabing this year. Myself and all the attendees were so generously given so many goodies – that many in fact its a whole other post!
